Welcome to Mets Cetera
Hello, and thanks for surfing over the Mets Cetera, which I hope you will bookmark and frequent.
First, a little about me: I’m taking over the Mets beat from Marty Noble, whom you may have followed over at Noble Thoughts. I began at MLB.com as an intern in 2007, then did backup work on the Mets and Yankees beats over the last two seasons. Starting today, I will be covering the Mets full time.
With this blog, I aim to give you a little bit of insight and quirkiness that you may not find on MLB.com: clubhouse anecdotes, statistical trends, little bits of the bizarre and the off-beat. You’ll also find breaking news here, analysis and even a bit of opinion.
Don’t mind the older posts on this blog. They’re from a project I worked on two years ago, when I attended single-day double-headers with the Mets and Yankees in Chicago and New York. Within a few days, the main page here will be all Mets all the time.
So stick around, interact and enjoy. I’ll be updating regularly. And be sure also to follow along on Twitter @anthonydicomo.

I look forward to following what you have to say, Anthony. I’m intrigued, though – how did you go about getting an internship with MLB.com? That is pretty much my ideal job/internship, but since my grades won’t do much talking for me, I’ve been hoping my MLBlog will. Any tips?
Thanks!
-Jonas
