How do you feel about the Curtis Granderson signing?

The Mets on Friday agreed to terms with outfielder Curtis Granderson on a four-year, $60-million contract.

I thought when the Yankees first signed him it was a smart move. Good fielder, power, and clutch hits.

However, having said that, he’s still an under-.250 hitter. The Mets have too many of those to be a real good team. Only Wright and Murphy can be expected to hit above .280. Others may surprise us: like Lagares and Tejada, but not much you can count on.

All-in-all, the Mets needed power and there wasn’t much to choose from among FAs. At least without going to a 10-year contract!

I still think the Mets need at least one other proven hitter.

Now we need a shortstop and a starting pitcher,,,
