Marlins 3, Mets 0: Three Up, Three Down

Is it Henderson Alvarez, or is it the offense?

Three Up
1. Bartolo Colon:
This could have been another ugly one, but Colon recovered to throw a nice game. The Mets need him in top form every time out.

2. Daniel Murphy: Murphy was productive in three of his four at-bats, doubling twice and moving a runner from second to third with a groundout in the fourth. That’s a lot more than most Mets hitters can say.

3. Juan Lagares: As long as he keeps hitting with consistency, Lagares will remain one of the most valuable players in baseball.

Three Down
1. David Wright: Though Wright hit the ball hard several times, he finished 1-for-4 with a single. His hardest-hit ball landed in a glove, preventing Lagares from scoring in the fourth.

2. Curtis Granderson: His six-game hitting streak ended with an 0-for-4 night, including strikeouts in each of his last two at-bats.

3. Ruben Tejada: Double play, groundout, pinch-hit for. That was Tejada’s night in sum.
