im dumb founded on why no one sees ikes problem at the plate…leg kick is too high as well as him dropping his hands below his belt…it almost looks like hes going to pitch…can someone please make him work on his mechanics..then he might be able to see the ball better

I’m tired of watching Ike struggle but I noticed that he is constsantly squinting while at bat. Maybe some one should check his eyes .

Ike Davis’ problem can be fixed in 10 minutes. He is not coiling properly into his back leg. The coaching staff should be on top of this.

There use to be an old tradition in baseball that you never woke a team that was dying. The Pirates beat on the Mets, hit one of there players and walked out of town laughing. If a team protects the least of there players i.e. Valdespin then there will be no question in the other teams mind that they will protect the best of their players. These Mets are spirtless and sad. If ever there was a need for a managerial change it’s now.
The ’86 or ’69 Mets would not have taken this, because their managers were men. Our manager is a scare little boy and his team plays like a bunch of scare boys who are certain that they are the NLs dormate.

What do you think about trading Ruben Tejada to the Yankees or Toronto? Justin Turner and Omar Quantantilla could platoon at shortstop.

How long will managent give Ike Davis to get his swing back? There is a certain twin first baseman although very expensive would give this offense the link they desperately need to be a consistently effective each game. A clutch hitter of his caliber at number 3 or 4 would be worth a prospect or two. The last time the Mets acquired an American League First Baseman John Olerud helped them contend. Jason Moreau would be a great addition especially with Wheeler coming up mid season.

I think Marlon Byrd deserves a -1 for GIDP against Papelbon…I know that guy makes his living by serving up GIDPs, but come on Byrdie..get it out of the IF!
